Kevin Spacey Addresses Allegations: A Response from the Actor
Kevin Spacey has recently responded to Guy Pearce’s allegations regarding the 1997 film LA Confidential, where Pearce accused Spacey of targeting him. In a video posted on X, Spacey dismissed Pearsons claims, telling him to “grow up” and stating that he is not a victim.
Guy Pearce expanded on his allegations in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter this week, claiming that Kevin Spacey targeted him during filming for LA Confidential. He described himself as being young and susceptible at the time and said that he was scared of Spacey due to his aggressive nature. However, he also praised Spacey’s charm and talent in holding a room.
Spacey has previously admitted to being “too handsy” and pushing boundaries but insists he did not do anything illegal. In 2023, the actor was found not guilty of all charges related to sexual assault against four men between 2001 and 2013 in a trial held in London.
In his response on X, Spacey brought up an additional claim that Pearce flew to Georgia a year after LA Confidential was made just to spend time with him while he was filming another movie. He challenged Pearce’s narrative and suggested there may have been other reasons for their interaction beyond friendship.
Pearce also mentioned having raised Spaceys alleged behavior with him years later, leading to a couple of confrontations that had become “ugly.” He now approaches the issue more openly and calls it out as what it is, emphasizing his honesty about past events.
