Luka Doncic’s impressive performance in a triple-double helped the Los Angeles Lakers secure a 107-99 victory over his former team, the Dallas Mavericks. The 25-year-old guard recently joined the Lakers through a three-way trade and made his debut against his previous club at Crypto.com Arena.

During the game, Doncic scored 19 points while recording an astounding 15 rebounds and dishing out 12 assists. In interviews after the match, he expressed how surreal it was playing against Dallas for the first time since leaving:

“In the first quarter, second quarter, I didn’t know what was happening. It was just different,” Doncic said to TNT. “I can’t even explain how I felt. I am just glad we got a win and can’t wait to go to sleep.”

Aside from Doncic’s standout playmaking, LeBron James contributed with 27 points for the Lakers, who are currently in fourth place within the Western Conference after securing three straight wins. Kyrie Irving had an impressive outing as well, putting up a game-high 35 points for Dallas Mavericks.

In another closely contested match from earlier today, the Memphis Grizzlies emerged victorious over the Phoenix Suns with a nail-biting score of 151-148 at home in overtime. This victory has propelled the Grizzlies to second place within the Western Conference, while the Suns currently stand in eleventh.

The Cleveland Cavaliers further solidified their position atop the Eastern Conference by dominating against the Orlando Magic with a convincing 122-82 win, marking their tenth consecutive success. Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo’s impressive performance of 27 points, it was not enough as the Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Houston Rockets in a close encounter.
