Speaking about his adjustment period, Doncic mentioned on ESPN, “I’m starting to feel a little bit more like myself C that’s why I was smiling the whole game. There’s still plenty of room for improvement and this is only my fourth game with LA. Chemistry takes time. But you saw today things are getting better.”
Meanwhile, in another closely contested match-up, the Brooklyn Nets edged past the Philadelphia 76ers by a narrow margin of one point thanks to Nic Claxton’s timely offensive rebound at the buzzer. Tyrese Maxey was on target with his three-pointer but it couldn’t stop Keon Johnson from missing his crucial shot as time expired.
Elsewhere, history was made in Portland where the Trail Blazers recorded their biggest winning margin ever against the Charlotte Hornets, defeating them 141-88. Key contributions came from Anfernee Simons with 25 points and Toumani Camara adding a double-double of ten rebounds alongside six assists.
The Utah Jazz also secured a victory over the Houston Rockets by a scoreline of 124-115, while the Phoenix Suns narrowly edged out the Chicago Bulls in another close game with a final score of 121-117.
