X appeared disinterested during a 30-minute press briefing as he mimicked Musks behavior, sat on the floor, and received sporadic attention from President Trump. At one point, it seemed that he instructed someone to “shush” their voice.

Grimes, Musk’s ex-girlfriend who is X’s mother, criticized her son’s appearance in public spaces. In a post about X at The Washington Posts website (“He should not be in public like this”), she expressed disappointment and gratitude that he maintained politeness despite her reservations.

Musk has frequently displayed his family during events aimed at promoting Tesla when building the company’s profile a decade ago.
